ABOUT
The Gathering of the Clans Highland Festival is a public event hosted in Sedgewick, Alberta.
​
It's a day full of highland activities, such as Heavy Events, highland dancing, festival entertainers, a petting zoo, artisan and food vendors, and more. The day concludes with a Cèilidh (dance) (pronounced kay-ley) performed by the River Jack's.
​
Last year, we had almost 1000 people in attendance, along with 4 pipe bands, 10 craft breweries and distillers, 13 Food Vendors, plus a vendor village with over 30 booths.
​
This year, we look forward to even more pipe bands with the addition of a friendly competition judged on creativity and crowd participation.​​

Thank you to everyone who wore a purple volunteer T-shirt and kept all the machinery of our event running smoothly. If you or your group would like to volunteer, sign up here! We have various types of tasks and shifts available. For non profit groups we are offering this as a fundraising opportunity. For individuals you can earn free gate admission!
