Heavy Events
A little bit track and field, a little bit powerful athletes in kilts, a whole lot of fun to watch! This year we will be joined by Jim and Shannon Garrick who will be instructing our competitors. Our instructors will demonstrate these extremely difficult challenges and coach a few of our local champions in a friendly competition. Events include the Caber Toss, Stone Put, Hammer Throw, Light and Heavy Weight Throw, Weight for Height, Weight for Distance and Sheaf Toss. You won’t want to miss a minute.

Are you interested in taking part in our heavy events for honor and glory? Contact us at info@flagstaffscottishclub.com

You must wear a kilt to participate. We can train up to 20 participants of any age, gender or experience level
The Ceilidh
This year we are excited to welcome the Derina Harvey Band! This band is one of our Club's long time favorite Celtic rock bands and the 2024 Fan's Choice Entertainer of the Year of the East Coast Music Awards. We will start the evening at 5 with a social hour and opening entertainment featuring Celtic Routes who will serenade us with their blend of Scottish, Irish and East Coast music. The Derina Harvey Band will kick off at 7PM. Of course with this many pipers and drummers in house, intermissions mean the music just gets unplugged and maybe a bit louder!
