Heavy Events
A little bit track and field, a little bit powerful athletes in kilts, a whole lot of fun to watch! This year we will be joined by 5 professional competitors one of whom has competed in Scotland and all over the world. Professional competitors will demonstrate these extremely difficult challenges and coach a few of our local champions in a friendly competition. Events include the Caber Toss, Stone Put, Hammer Throw, Light and Heavy Weight Throw, Weight for Height, Weight for Distance and Sheaf Toss. You won’t want to miss a minute.
The Ceilidh
The Riverjacks last joined us for our Tartan Day pub night in 2022. We had so much fun dancing to their country rock with a Celtic twist (they added a fiddler just for us!) that we really wanted to get them back and share them with an even bigger crowd. Of course with 4 pipe bands and a few visiting pipers and drummers in the house, intermissions mean the music just gets unplugged and maybe a bit louder!
